Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is generally regarded amongst fans as the weakest book in the series, yet despite that it's still quite entertaining and massively popular.
Good on the movie's director then, as Christopher Columbus helped create a film that went over pretty well as an adaptation. The Chamber of Secrets movie did a solid job capturing the continued world building and elements of mystery Rowling herself expanded upon in its source material.
With new characters such as Dobby and Lucius Malfoy, new magical components like flying cars and Howlers, and of course the big mystery of who's opened up the Chamber of Secrets itself, the semi-controversial movie still has plenty of great content for any Potterhead to sink their teeth into.
