- The last 6 digits of a drivers license are the y-ymmdd of your birthday. The mm of a female licence is 50 higher. So a man born on jan. 1 is 0101 a female is 5101. The first letter of a drivers licence is the same as the first letter of your last name.
- Lost, stolen or damaged vehicle permit To replace a lost, stolen or damaged vehicle permit, visit a ServiceOntario centre and bring your driver’s licence or registrant identification number.
- Under these laws, when it comes to driver’s licence information, “collection” can mean any of the following: - Examining the driver’s licence - Recording information from it, such as the driver’s licence number - Photocopying or “swiping” the licence These forms of collection are not equal or interchangeable.

Translation requirements
If you submit a document that is neither in English nor French, you must also submit:
- an English or French translation of the document, and
- an attestation or affidavit written and signed by the translator
If the document is translated by a certified translator, you must submit an attestation. An attestation is a document stating that the translation is a true and accurate version of the original text. (A certified translator is a member of a provincial or territorial organization of translators and interpreters.)
If the document is translated by a translator who is not certified, you must submit an affidavit. An affidavit is a document stating that the translation is a true and accurate version of the original text. The translator must sign the affidavit before a commissioner for oaths or a commissioner for taking affidavits. (A commissioner for oaths or a commissioner for taking affidavits is appointed by a province or territory.)
If you don't want to carry these sensitive ID documents around with you, the Ontario Photo Card may be a good option for you. Who can get the Ontario Photo Card? You must be at least 16 years old and a non-driver. You cannot have an Ontario Photo Card and driver's licence at the same time. If you have a driver's licence already, your licence.
Note: Translations by family members are not acceptable. (A family member is defined as a parent, guardian, sibling, spouse, grandparent, child, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew or first cousin.)

Road test appointments at Driver Examination Centres* are available within 42 days of the date requested.

Ontario's driver examination services are delivered at DriveTest Centres, operated by Serco DES Inc. (Serco), on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation.

Any applicant who requests a road test appointment will be able to obtain an appointment within 42 days of their request at the location requested (*excludes some part-time travel points).
Road test appointments can be booked by internet, phone or in-person at any DriveTest Centre.

Applicants using third party booking services should be aware they may be charged additional fees to book a road test. No third party providing booking services is affiliated with DriveTest or the ministry.

All applicants are required to pay the fees in advance of their road test appointment. You may pre-pay your road test fee using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) if you are booking an appointment over the phone or the Internet.
In-Person
In-person services at DriveTest Centres are available according to the hours of service posted on DriveTest Centre List and Hours.
If booking in-person at a DriveTest Centre, you can pay by cash, debit card, credit card, certified cheque, bank draft or money order made payable to “DriveTest Centre”, or traveller's cheque (Canadian or American).
